Business Recognizing Arts Vision and Achievement (BRAVA), Eugene's ultimate celebration of arts and culture, is  happening on May 22nd, from 5:30 to 7:00 pm at the McDonald Theatre. It's going to be a night with amazing performances, uplifting speeches, and the recognition of some truly outstanding individuals and organizations. Join emcee J.C Geiger and a host of special guests, including State Representative Nancy Nathanson. Brought to you by the Arts & Business Alliance of Eugene (ABAE).

Mark Your Calendar for June 2 

Watch this video and get excited for the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) 2024 Collegiate Track & Field/Cross Country Athlete Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on Sunday, June 2, at the Hult Center for the Performing Arts.

USTFCCCA Hall of Fame coach, Olympic medalist, University of Oregon alum and Oregon native Bill Dellinger will be among this year's class of inductees. His record-setting career as a distance runner paved the path he took to becoming Steve Prefontaine's coach alongside Bill Bowerman. 

Some of the best athletes in history will be celebrated with a look back at their collegiate careers via video tributes, roundtable panel discussions and special guest appearances. The lobby will open at 4:00 p.m. with the red carpet walk beginning at 4:30 p.m.

Free Training Offered by Tourism Cares

Tourism Cares believes every individual has the right to explore the world, to feel the thrill of new experiences, and to engage fully in life's adventures. Their new course, Introduction to Disability Inclusion & Accessibility in Hospitality, delves into the critical topic of accessibility in the travel industry. Developed and written by Tourism Cares in collaboration with Joe Jamison from VisitAble and Kristy Durso from Incredible Memories Travel, the module explores the significance of creating inclusive environments for travelers with disabilities and provides insights into how organizations can enhance their services to cater to diverse needs. Learn about the principles of disability inclusion and accessibility, and how to contribute to a more inclusive world through thoughtful and proactive measures.

Congratulations to the Very Little Theatre for becoming certified through the BRING Rethink Business program. Rethink Business is an all-in-one-hub for Lane County businesses to become more sustainable.

Area Breweries Honored 

Numerous area breweries were honored during the 2024 Oregon Beer Awards, including Sunriver Brewing Company as the top brewery in the "Large" category. Check out the winners and congratulations to Sunriver Brewing and the team at the Oakway Pub! 

Cascadia Mobility Expands Bikeshare

Cascadia Mobility, operator of PeaceHealth Rides, has expanded its Eugene service area and they announced the addition of a new service area in Downtown Springfield. 100 new bikes were added to the system.

Summer Construction on Highway 126 

The Oregon Department of Transportation has several projects along Highway 126E and throughout Oregon, so be prepared for delays. The Blue River and Fish Hole Bridges project is located near milepost 40. The Linn County line to Old Highway 126 paving project involves 12-hour closures of this section of highway. The Rumble Strips project involves sections of highway throughout Oregon. Feel free to share this flyer with your team.

River House and Old Town Inns Join Wyndham 

Hoagland Properties, Inc., a hotel owner/operator in Florence, OR, announced that its two Florence properties, River House Inn and Old Town Inn, will join the Wyndham Hotels and Resorts brand. The transition for both properties is expected to be completed by the end of June.
